Welcome
The Deaf Community (TDC) is an ad hoc volunteer group establishd in 2011 and inspired by the opportunity to work together for all of our deaf community as opposed to splintering it.
We have come together to form an organization to redefine what The Deaf Community really is and what it means to be deaf in today's world.
We are a passionate and diverse group here to put the needs of all hard of hearing children and adults first by promoting early intervention, deaf awareness, legislative initiatives and the right to choose any communication option(s) to ensure every opportunity for a lifetime of success.
There is so much to be accomplished when we work together to gain and preserve equal rights and access amongst The Deaf Community.
We won't settle for less as we strive to amplify the impact of the entire deaf community to work together to support all communication opportunities. Nothing about us without all of us!
Since our success in educating people about the truth regarding choices for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, a few inquiries have occurred about this website and the individuals behind it. We are deaf individuals who sign, read lips and use hearing technology such as hearing aids, bone anchored devices and cochlear implants. We are parents and relatives of deaf children. We are the majority of the deaf community. A small minority of deaf individuals do not believe in choice and are anti-oral. We do not represent them. We are many things, including attorneys, teachers, therapists, and physicians. We have all been bullied by those opposing choice but we remain strong and determined for the truth about hearing loss to be told.
We neither solicit nor accept donations.
The Deaf Community is organizing an army of individuals to join us in this mission.
Our goal is to establish a chapter in every state of the U.S. to tackle a variety of deaf topics and demand equality.
We seek people who have a broad passion for these deaf-related categories:
